Barbara Heinrich uses her formidable technical skills to make jewels that express her own interest in the emotion and spirit of creativity.  She is drawn to graphic forms- circle, square, wedge- for their simplicity, which she transforms and enhances by intricate surface textures of matte and polished gold.  Heinrich apprenticed as a goldsmith in her native Germany where she also received an M.F.A in jewelry and hollowware design from the Fachhochschule fur Gestaltung in Pforzheim. Her work has been featured in several publications, include: Metalsmith, and "The New Jewelry: Trends and Traditions."
