Katherine Jetter, an Australian born Jewelry Designer, was first inspired by an opal given to her by her parents in honor of her being awarded the top International Baccalaureate Art Prize. From that first creation of a simple ring setting, she has gone on to become one of the world’s foremost opal jewelry designers. Her fresh and contemporary designs bring opals to life and become more than just jewelry but wearable works of Art. Her breathtaking collections highlight the varied differences of this unique gemstone. From fiery reds and oranges to the cooler shades of blue, each piece is uniquely created and combined with complementary precious gemstones and metals. Inspired by the natural landscapes of her home country, her signature collection pays tribute to the lush Rainforest featuring lush green ferns of sparkling tsavorites, exotic flower petals carved from luminescent blue opal and twisting emerald vines with red ruby buds. Similarly, her Signature turtle collection is representative of her passion for the natural landscapes of the Great Barrier Reef.
