Earl Pardon Enamel, Silver and Gold Brooch

Asymmetrical painted enamel brooch, ca. 1988, by Earl Pardon (1926-1991). The brooch is white enamel and 24K gold center, surrounded by a fram of sterling silver embellished with colorful enamel on silver, gold, and faceted amethyst, blue topaz and rhodolite garnet. Unique #1693 engraved on back, 2-1/8" w. x 1-5/8" h.

Pardon is acknowledged as one of the most influential of the Post World War II group of painters and sculptors who turned to jewelry as an art form, whose work is now collected by museums and connoisseurs.
