Tod Pardon: 1992

Tod Pardon's early work, as he transitioned from apprentice to his father Earl Pardon to his own artwork, involved some extraordinary pieces. Here is one, a bangle bracelet/sculpture from 1992, incorporating his innovative mixed inlay of woods, bone and pigment, with fascias of copper and silver mokume-gane, the Japanese 'wood-grain' metalworking technique. The bracelet is inlaid on every surface, with two hidden mounts at bottom and measures 2.5" x 3.5" with base, 2 x 3.5 x 5.5. Sterling silver, 14K, copper, mixed inlay.
