Two designers share the Luster award, for their marketable wearable designs for pearl jewelry: Barbara Heinrich for her Nest earrings and Anne Baker’s Toi et Moi pearl ring.
The Orient award honors innovative pearl jewelry design, also with two 2021 winners: Eve Streicker for her coin pearl ring and Anne Baker’s pearl blossom ring:
The Visionary award goes to Melanie Georgacopoulos for her sculptural jewels in mother-of-pearl and pearls and the Corner Pearl Nacre ring.
Wedding Day pearls for the modern bride were awarded to Melanie Georgacopoulos for her sculpted Exposed Pearl Nacre bangle bracelet and to Rosa van Parys for her Tahitian pearl diamond dagger earrings.
The Fashion award recognized the bold scale and runway style of the pearl swag bracelet from Imperial Pearl.
Finally, the Spotlight Award for 2021, focused on blue Akoya pearls, was won by two entries, last year’s Presidential award winner Paul Klecka’s gestural Blue Wave ring and new designer Lauren Chisholm’s blue akoya pearl necklace.
