Classical Roman Revival Ring
Antique silver ring with gold coin of Licinus dates to the classical Roman revival period, 1790’s to 1830’s. The pictured subject, Licinus, advanced from soldier to emperor, a colleague and rival of Constantine, until his death in 325. The gold coin shows his portrait on one side and on horseback on the obverse. The ring measures 3/4″ in diameter and is a size 9. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the original seller.
