Earl Pardon: Enamel Brooch and Clip-On Earring Set
Earl Pardon (1931-1991) is considered one of the foundational artists of the Modernist jewelry movement. Trained as painter and sculptor, he found his niche in precious metal. The brooch and clip-on earring set here highlights Pardon’s best known style, collage compositions in bright enamel and gemstones. The brooch, 1-7/8″ x 3/4″, in three panels, combines sterling, 14K gold, abalone, enamel tiles, ruby, blue topaz and amethyst. The clip-on earrings, 3/4″ x 1″, are set with amethysts.
