Hunting Case Pocket Watch
Substantial 18K yellow gold hunting case pocketwatch, 53mm, features a three part case, the front and back engine-turned covers with a horizontal decorative engraved band; one side with a blank shield for a monogram, the other with a decorative miniature landscape, and hinged gold cuvette protecting the movement. The porcelain dial has painted Roman numeral hours, sunken subsidiary seconds register and steel Gothic hands. The movement dates to 1876, converted at the turn of the century to a stem-wound mechanism. The gilt exposed 11 jewel movement has an engraved bridge; case signed AWCo, American Watch Company. Movement warrantied by Aaron Faber for 12 months.
