Jennifer Trask: Blue Choker
The jewelry art magazine Metalsmith notes that Jennifer Trask ‘by isolating objects, transforms the mundane into an object of adoration by focusing on color and form”. *
Here, Trask fabricates sterling silver compartments and fills each link with powdered pigments, their intense blues radiating color, including the historical Fra Angelico Blue and Egyptian Blue pigments. The necklace is 17″ long, adjustable, with toggle clasp set with an oval lapis cabochon.
