Amethyst Losango Ring

Tom Munsteiner created this cut for large round gemstones, here a 49.46 carat amethyst cabochon that is undercut in a stepped diamond pattern, like the stairs of a Mayan pyramid, intensifying the color and creating a dynamic sense of movement. Set in sterling silver, the 'Losango' cut ring measures 1" in diameter and rises 3/4" above the finger.
