A remarkable cuff bracelet by Native American master jewelry artist Jesse Monongya (1952-2024). 'Day and Night' is a color and form composition. Tapered slices of stacked turquoise curve down one side, contrasted by opposing inlay triangles of wood, turquoise, mother-of-pearl, and turquoise. Set in sterling silver and signed. The bracelet is 1-1/8" at the widest and fits 7" wrists, circa 1980's. His work is in the collections of the Smithsonian, Denver Art Museum, Museum of Modern Art, among many other arts institutions.
