From a well-known collector's estate, a two-finger repoussed sterling ring by Marci Zelmanoff, made in the early 1970's. The ring measures 2" x 1-1/4" at the widest and is size 6. Zelmanoff was a jewelry artist well ahead of her time. Her feminist, bold, sometimes feverish constructions appealed to women wearers, but were generally ignored by the burgeoning art jewelry institutions and media. Today her work is recognized for its originality and singular vision.
