Tod Pardon's best-known brooch/sculptures are in this series which runs, in variations, from 2002 to 2007: with exuberant beaded hair. This example, Quilom, from 2007, combines Pardon's erotic details in a lively sterling silver brooch, 2-1/2" x 6", with inlaid resin, bone, and iridescent glass beads. Accompanied by wooden stand to display when not being worn.

Tod Pardon (1952 - ) creates jewelry that reflects the myriad intellectual and visual influences for the artist of the twenty-first century. His anthropomorphic brooches and sculpture are strongly influenced by African sculpture, imagery and color; by contemporary pop culture, including video, music and computer graphics; by the influences of Modernism and Surrealism; and directly or indirectly by the artistic career of his father, Earl Pardon.
