Rare eighteenth century Swiss enamel automaton open face pocketwatch is a high achievement of the arts of horology and engineering in 1700's Switzerland. The three-dimensional enamel pictures two young, woodworkers, one barrelmaker and the other planing wood, as the fountain at center splashes with water. The 55mm case has a seed pearl bezel surrounding the enamel side, reversing to a porcelain dial with painted black Arabic hours, and apertures to key wind the movement and set the time.
