Michael Boyd: Lapis Sapphire Ring

Michael Boyd’s jewels glow with the rare and unusual gems and the intimate details that claim our attention. Here, he sets gems in blue: a cabochon oblong Burmese sapphire atop a turquoise-edged blue square of gem silica, accented on the sides with lapis lazuli and diamonds. The ring measures 5/8″ x 1/2″ and is size 6. Gems are set in oxidized sterling, 22K gold, 18K gold and platinum, in a rounded square double shank for comfort.
